The value isn't simply collecting more data. Modern devices and platforms already produce extraordinary amounts of it.

A single signal may be insignificant. Several signals occurring in a particular sequence, under particular circumstances, may indicate something entirely different. Context transforms information into understanding.
And understanding creates the possibility of earlier intervention.
Safety Is Moving Upstream
The World Economic Forum's 2026 work on digital safety describes the growing importance of anticipatory approaches—including sensing, modeling and early-warning capabilities—to prepare for risks that may emerge outside traditional organizational boundaries.
